Two days for two

DAY ONE
Wide and awake for a 7am meeting.
Crispy prata and fried chicken breakfast.
Feeding a coffee addiction before the shops open.
A very nice beanie from Muji we didn't buy.
Found out the new mac book pro wasn't in the stores yet.
A nice warm lunch for a hungry girl.
An unsuccessful attempt to buy sandals/flipflops.
A heavy (Calvin and Hobbes) surprise.
No honey and yoghurt rub.
Kbox (Our first time there!)
Tired and playing a word game while having tea and toast (Yeah, I'm getting better)
"Eagle Eye", Gold class!! (The beginning of an incurable preference)

DAY TWO
A sleepy 6.45am meeting
Nasi Lemak at Changi
Two minutes as illegal immigrants
Finally at the right ferry terminal
10 minute bumboat ride
Cycling at Ubin
A wait for 12 people (and we continue with the word game)
A cool shower
A song stuck in the head (found out Viva La Vida means death and all his friends)
A hungry grouchy girl
A nice yummy lunch (Beef rice, finally)
A warm elmer fudge cake ( a nice nice treat!)
No macadamia cheesecake
"Burn after reading", not Gold Class.

Cast your coats to the wind

This picture was featured in NGM July 2008. Taken by Elmar Rubio, an electrician, artist, and father of seven. When he submitted the picture to NGM, his caption was "Bella and Alice and the approaching storm".

I like the image because it reminds me of the irrational beauty of the human spirit. An oncoming storm and sometimes, we don't run for shelter - we cast our coats to the wind.
